Welcome to our class page. Here you will find information about our class including topics we have already explored and our current topics. We are a Year 1 class comprised of 30 children, Mrs Mulholland our class teacher and Mrs Marrs  our Teaching Assistant.

Our PE days are Wednesday afternoon and every other Friday afternoon. Please can parents make sure earrings are out or put a pot in your child's bag if they are able to take their earrings out themselves. Explore each Term Page to see what we are learning about and what has been happening in class.

We will be celebrating the children who read 3 times a week recorded in their reading journals.

If you read with or listen to your child read, please record this in their reading record book - just a little 'squiggle' will do.

If you have any questions please feel free to drop a note through the office!

Common Exception Words:

Exception words are words in which the English spelling code works in an unusual or uncommon way. They are not words for which phonics 'doesn't work', but they may be exceptions to spelling rules, or words which use a particular combination of letters to represent sound patterns in a rare or unique way. These words are words that children are expected to be able to spell by the end of year 1.
