Welcome to our class page. Here you will find information about our class including our current topics. We are a Year 1 class comprised of 25 children, Mrs Emslie (Mon&Tues) and Mrs Houghton (Wed, Thurs&Fri) our class teachers and Mrs Lenotti our Teaching Assistant.
Our PE days are every Thursday morning. Please can parents make sure earrings are out or put a pot in your child's bag if they are able to take their earrings out themselves. Explore each Term Page to see what we are learning about and what has been happening in class.
During the school closure we will upload your home learning below. Each day you will have exciting jobs to do and we can't wait to see your amazing work! Whilst we're not at school, stay safe and listen to your adults! Check the dated page to see letters from your friends and pieces of your work. We're looking forward to seeing your smiley faces when we come back! :)

The Summer Reading Challenge is back! It runs from June all the way through to September. For the Summer Reading Challenge 2020 the theme is 'get silly'! The theme of the challenge is 'Silly Squad' - a collection of hilarious stories. The Summer Reading Challenge website is free to access and a place where children can rate and review their books and work towards their reading goal. It also features video content, games, quizzes and digital and downloadable activities to incentivise and encourage children and their families to take part in the Challenge at home. Check it out here... https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/
It’s that time of year again! Cuxton’s Got Talent is back for it’s 4th year! We will be doing things slightly differently this year so time to let your imagination run wild. I am looking for video clips of performances - this can be a socially distanced collaboration or an individual entry. Please ask parents about this as all images will need to be shared publically so make sure you have their permission. Are you a budding artist? Have you created something fabulous you would like to share or maybe written a poem during this time? Whatever your talent is I would love to see it and hopefully share with the rest of the school.
Can you send your entries to me at my school email: firstname.lastname@example.org by 19th June. Don’t forget to include your name class and brief description.
