Home Learning

Welcome to our home-learning page. Every day I will upload your work under the correct day for you to complete. I will set it out like we do for our timetable in class so you know what the plan is for the day. Don’t forget to ask your adult to email your completed home learning by 3pm the following day.
Exciting news! We love the photos and videos you have been sending in and we will be using some of them for a surprise when we return to school! The photos and videos will only be used in accordance with the permissions you have previously given us, and used within school for the pupils to see. So please keep sending in your fantastic photos and videos!

A message from Miss Sayer:

It’s that time of year again! Cuxton’s Got Talent is back for its 4th year!

We will be doing things slightly differently this year so time to let your imagination run wild. I am looking for video clips of performances - this can be a socially distanced collaboration or an individual entry.

Please ask parents about this as all images will need to be shared publically so make sure you have their permission.

Are you a budding artist? Have you created something fabulous you would like to share or maybe written a poem during this time? Whatever your talent is, I would love to see it and hopefully share with the rest of the school.

Can you send your entries to me at my email: sayej047@academyofcuxton.org by 19th June? Don’t forget to include your name class and brief description.

Good luck!

Dear Parents/Carers,

As the Easter holidays approach we would like to say a big thank you for all your support in completing the daily homework tasks that have been set on our class pages. Over the Easter holidays, we would normally ask that children complete their usual home learning routine of:

  • Reading
  • TT Rockstars / Numbots
  • GPaS.com / Spellzone

Due to the difficult circumstances we find ourselves in, we have decided to offer an optional project-based style homework.

Your task (if you choose to accept it) is to find out about your next term’s topic. For Year 3, this is:

Scrumdiddlyumptious: All About Food

This could take the form of:

  • a PowerPoint presentation
  • a fact-file
  • a news report
  • a video report
  • an audio file
  • a poster

These are only suggestions – it’s entirely up to your child!

There will be no expectation for you to contact class teachers during the Easter break and they will not be replying to emails during this period either (6th April – 17th April 2020).

The end result can be shared with your child’s class teacher from Monday 20th April. If school is still closed, this can be done by using the email system or, in the event that we have re-opened, handing into the class teacher.

Thank you again for everything that you do.
