The Academy of Cuxton Schools believes that all children should receive a quality education in online safety. In a world where many of our children have access to the internet, we must ensure that they understand the positives and the negatives of accessing the online world.
All children at the school are taught online safety as part of their computing curriculum. We use the government's Education for a Connected World to inform our planning and to ensure that the children are taught about the different aspects of online safety. We are proud to have children in our school that can confidently explain what online safety is, why it is important and how they can stay safe when using the internet.
As parents it is important that you have a good understanding of online safety too. The internet is a fantastic place to visit and it comes with amazing positives but also it's scary negatives. Below is a collection of resources that you can access to ensure that you have the best understanding of how to keep your child safe when they are using online devices.
If you have any online safety concerns regarding your child or any other children in our community, please do contact one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads via the office, stating that the email is for the attention of a DSL.
