KENT X-COUNTRY COMPETITION-

Saturday 23rd November 2019:

A perfect day for cross country running - drizzle, a nippy wind and lots of mud!
Our mini Cuxton School Cross Country team did brilliantly and had a great time. There were over 1000 competitors!

First off was Ollie in his race. He started near the back of the field and steadily worked his way through with a great sprint up the final hill to finish 78th.

Gwen was next in her race. She ran a superb race, perfectly paced and finished an amazing 11th with a great big smile!

Sam was last of the day in his race and on the biggest field. He again started at a steady pace and worked his way through over the longer course to power up the long climb to the finish, overtaking others all the way. He finished in a great 108th place looking rather exhausted!

The children were keen, enthusiastic and determined to do well and despite the muddy conditions enjoyed the whole day, even if it was a little bit chilly!
