Good morning, Cherry Class!
I hope you’re all keeping well and are keeping busy at home.

Yesterday, you thought about the chocolate bars and sweet things that we like to eat. You described how those things would taste and the textures of them.
Willy Wonka wants to create a new chocolate bar to sell from his factory. He needs your help in doing this. Design 2 chocolate bars that could be given to Willy Wonka to create in his factory. There is space on the given sheet for you to draw these.
Ensure that when you have drawn your design that you label the diagram with the ingredients. For example, I might like to add m&ms to may chocolate bar so I would draw a line to the m&ms to label them.
Once you have drawn your designs, write a list of ingredients underneath to go with your designs.
Give yourself a 20 minute break.
Today, we’re looking at subtracting fractions.

Lesson 2 – Subtract fractions
Watch the video.
Next, open up the task sheet and have a go at answering the questions.
You can either print it out and write your answers on the sheet, or you can open it up and type your answers in the answer boxes.
If any of the questions are too tricky, you can skip them or come back to them later.
It’s lunch time so take an hour to have some lunch and have a break.
Try using each of your spelling words in a sentence.
Today, we’re looking at maps. Have a look at this website:
Have a look at the videos and read through the text.
Next, have a go at Activity 1 where you label the compass.
Then, try Activity 2. You can use the sheet or an ordinary piece of paper to draw your own map. It could be a place you know well or somewhere imaginary. It’s entirely up to you!
You might have heard of Captain Tom Moore. He’s 99 years old who decided to raise some money for the NHS.
Take a look at these videos:
What challenges do you think Captain Tom had while doing this?
If you could give a message to Captain Tom, what would it be?
Well done again today, Cherry Class! You’re all doing brilliantly. Keep up the great work!
