Good morning, Magnolia Class!
Thank you for all working so hard on your first day back. I enjoyed looking at the great work that you’ve been doing.

Choose some of your spelling words and see if you can use them in a short story.
Look back at your work from yesterday.
How did you describe granny? What words did you use? How is she similar to the “gangsta”?
Write a paragraph or two to compare your two characters from yesterday.
Remember, a paragraph is usually about 5 sentences.
Include comparative conjunctions. For example: although, but, whereas, on the other hand, however.
Have a 20 minute break.
Today, we’re doing some more work on fractions.

Summer Term – Week 6 (w/c 1 June)
Lesson 2 – Fractions on a number line.
Watch the video.
Next, open up this task sheet and have a go at answering the questions.
You can either print it out and write your answers on the sheet, or you can open it up and type your answers in the answer boxes.
If any of the questions are too tricky, you can skip them or come back to them later.
Have some lunch and have a break for an hour.
Take half an hour to do some reading.
Today, we’re going to be researching our home towns. A home town is a town where you live or used to live in.
Take a look at the instruction sheet I’ve made and have a go at finding out about your home town.
If you get stuck, I’ve made an example to help you.
Well done for working so hard. You’re all doing really well.
Take care and stay safe.
