Grammar

Today, you’re looking at pronouns. Head to this website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zwwp8mn/articles/z37xrwx

Watch the video, then have a go at the two games below.

English

Today you need to read a recipe of your choice. If you can and have the ingredients at home and with help from an adult, follow the recipes to create something delicious. (Feel free to choose a different recipe using any ingredients that you have at home).

When you have created your delicacy; write an evaluation for it.

To remind you – an evaluation should discuss the characteristics of the food using the 5 senses. (See, tastes, texture, smell, consistency)

For example:

  • Does your product look appetising?
  • How did it taste?
  • What was the texture like? Hard/soft/crunchy/sticky/gooey etc.
  • What did it smell like?

This should be written as a paragraph

Finally, draw a picture of your creation to go with your evaluation.

Break

Give yourself 20 minutes to take a break.

Maths

Today, we’re carrying on with fractions. We’ll carry on looking at equivalent fractions.

Click the link: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-3/

Click Summer Term - Week 1 (w/c 20 April)

Then look for Lesson 2 – Equivalent Fractions (3).

Watch the video.

Next, open up the task sheet and have a go at answering the questions.

You can either print it out and write your answers on the sheet, or you can open it up and type your answers in the answer boxes.

If any of the questions are too tricky, you can skip them or come back to them later.

Lunch

It’s lunch time so take an hour to have some lunch and have a break.

Reading

Read a text of your choice for 20 minutes. It can be a book, newspaper, magazine…anything you like!

Science

Today, we’re looking at plants and their features.

Take a look at this website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zy66fg8/articles/zcjnp39

Watch the video, then have a go at Label The Plant game.

Once you’ve done that, open the task and add the labels to the picture.

Assembly

Log in to Espresso, then watch this video: https://central.espresso.co.uk/espresso/primary_uk/subject/module/video/item1168027/grade2/module1164873/index.html

Then have a go at this quiz: https://central.espresso.co.uk/espresso/primary_uk/subject/module/activity/item1166176/grade2/module1164873/index.html

Well done today, Cherry Class. Looking forward to seeing what you’ve done.

See you all back here tomorrow!

Can you make your own indoor dens? This can be with family or independently! Don’t forget to check with your adults before building.

Please send you den photos with your daily work - get your adult to let me know whether I can share it on our page with your friends!

Have fun!!!
