Dividing fractions by integers

Keep the first fraction, flip the second fraction, then change to multiple (times, times)

If one number is a whole number just change it to a fraction so... 2 become 2/1



English Weekly Task


This week's work is focused around WW2 poetry.

There is a task for each day this week.

Monday - alphabet poetry

Tuesday - Blitz poem

Wednesday - D day poem

Thursday - plan your own poem

Friday - Write your own poem


Mon - Weds should help give you ideas and inspire you with your poem writing.




Again, we will continue our study of World War 2. This week, we will be focusing on the Blitz and the need for children to be evacuated. Have a go at some, or all, of the following activities:

  • Read the ppt on The Bltiz. Imagine you were alive in the time of the Blitz and write a descriptive recount of hearing the air raid siren and having to run to your shelter before the bombing began. Try to build tension and convey emotions. Then, describe what it would have been like to be in the shelter at the time of an air raid. If you wish to extend this piece further, write about leaving the shelter after the bombing. Describe the destruction you can see and the change in emotions you might feel.
  • Create your own air raid shelter. This could be a small model, or a life sized version (like a tent, fort or den). If you create a life size one, why not sound an air raid siren and see how quickly you and your family can get to safety.
  • Create a piece of artwork inspired by The Blitz, use any medium you have available and try to be as creative as you can.
  • Read the ppt on Children in WW2. Why were children evacuated? Was this the best decision for them? Write a balanced argument to discuss both reasons for and against. Remember not to give your own opinion until the conclusion.
