Happy Birthday to BS and Mrs P! I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Good morning, Cherry Class!

I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine and keeping well, Cherry Class. I’ve loved seeing and hearing about what you’ve been up to at home. I’m glad you’re still having fun even when we can’t go out that much!

PE with Joe Wicks:

Today, you have a choice between two jobs:

Job 1: Read through your diary and see if there’s anything you can add or change to make it even better. You might want to:

  • Describe places and people – what did Charlie see and hear?
  • Use powerful adjectives;
  • Use pronouns – he, she, it;
  • Use conjunctions to add sentences or join them together – and, but, so, because
  • Add adverbs – quickly; rapidly; noisily; strangely; surprisingly.

Or Job 2: Mr O’Mallan had a go at writing his own diary entry but it’s really boring! See if you can add or change things to make it more exciting and interesting for the reader.

Take a break for 20 minutes.

Today, we’re doing some more multiplication and division.

Lesson 3 – Divide a 2 digit number by a 1 digit number.

Watch the video.

Next, open up this task sheet and have a go at answering the questions.

You can either print it out and write your answers on the sheet, or you can open it up and type your answers in the answer boxes.

If any of the questions are too tricky, you can skip them or come back to them later.

Have some lunch and have a break for an hour.

Spend half an hour reading a book.

Today, we’re going to be learning how to use key words in a search engine.

When we use a search engine, we can make searching quicker and easier.

Take a look at the PowerPoint, then open up the sheet and have a go at using a search engine to answer the questions.

Poems with Michael Rosen:
