'Foundations for...Linguists'
We aim to provide a valuable educational and cultural experience for our children through the teaching of a modern foreign language. At the Academy of Cuxton Schools, the core language taught throughout Key Stage Two is Spanish.
The learning of a modern foreign language supports our children to develop a wide range of skills, including speaking and listening, which are core skills for lifelong learning.
We aim to deliver our Spanish lessons through both academic teaching and interactive learning. European Day of Languages and visual displays within the school, allows our chosen language to be celebrated and appreciated by the whole school community.
Within school, we follow the British Value of cultural and diversity differences within society. The teaching of a language, enables our children to develop an awareness and respect for cultural differences.
