Our Key Priorities

Our Key Priorities for 2016-2017 are:

 

QUALITY FIRST TEACHING

 

To ensure all teaching is at least 100% Good or Better.

 

To increase the number of Outstanding lessons taught to 30%.

 

 

 

 

FOUNDATION STAGE

 

To ensure that at least 70% of our

children reach a good level of

development in all areas focusing on Reading and Writing.

 

 

 

 

 

CURRICULUM

 

To create a new curriculum to develop

children's engagement, enjoyment and new skills.

 

To develop Reading, Writing and Maths across the curriculum.

 

To develop the outside environment.

 

ASSESSMENT

 

To develop and embed a system of assessment without levels in Years 1, 3, 4 and 5 to ensure rapid progress for all children.

 

 

 

 

 

ASSESSMENT - YEARS 2 & 6

 

To exceed last year's results of 94% in Reading, 88% in

Writing and 100% in Maths (Year 2), and to reach a standard of 70% in the combined Reading, Writing and Maths

(in Year 6), thus ensuring Key Stage 2 results are above floor target.

 

 

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

 

To increase the amount of workshops and information for parents, that deliver support for parents as to how they can help their child.

 

To ensure that communication is increased, especially in Key Stage 2.

 

To create a joint website.
