This term we will be taking our spellings from the Statutory Year 5 and 6 spelling list, which you will find below.

Although the children will get the usual 10 spellings to practice. It will be a good idea to look over and make sure they know how to spell all the others, and look at the specific spelling rules that they follow.

As per normal, we will do a bonus word each week, taken from this list.

Children can use the 'Look, cover, write' method to practice them and any support you could give with helping them with this would be much appreciated. 

There will be no spelling test in week 4 due to it being SATS week, however we will commence with spelling tests the week after. It is important that the children go on to secondary school ready.
