Home learning Offer

 

Due to the governments increased expectations on home learning and us as a school striving to provide the best service we can for you at home, we have improved our home learning offer. Please see below the new home learning offer. We will increase the amount of videos to help with teaching as many of you have said it would help but as you can imagine, creating, editing and uploading videos takes a lot of time so we are unable to do it for every session. 

 

Daily home learning offer:  2-3 hours government expectation of schools for Children in KS1/EYFS

example:

30 minutes of phonics

30 minutes of maths

30 minutes of Topic

15 minutes reading (rising stars/reading books)

10 minutes of handwriting/PE movement breaks

1 hours of learning through play: Play with your child and interact with them as they explore their own interests asking them questions and teaching them about the world. 

 

We appreciate every family situation is different with families juggling many children and work commitments so this may not be possible. Do as much as you can and remember to look after yourself and take time for yourself so you can better look after your family. We are always here to answer questions and help you as much as we can.
