“Foundations for Life”

Week beginning 22nd February

HELLOOOOO Year 4.

We hope you had an absolutely brilliant week off and were able to have some downtime. We know how hard it can be staying focused on school work, so hopefully you had a chance to re-charge your brains.

Remember, in the first week of last term, we provided you with a timetable if it helps you to plan your day. We are sure most of you have a routine now, but it is still there incase you need it. We also know that children work at different paces, so only complete what you are able to. Please make sure you check to see if there are any videos available each day, they are there to help you with your learning. The maths, English, reading and topic work have been placed in daily folders, however the handwriting, spelling and outdoor learning will remain separate

Hopefully we don't have too long to go now and we will all be together soon.

Each day we have provided you with:

English (40-60 minutes)

Maths (40-60 minutes)

Handwriting (15 minutes)

Reading task/independent reading (30 minutes)

Spellings (20-30 minutes) and get someone to test you on Friday!

Topic (1hr - 1hr 30 minutes)

We would also ask you to complete at least 20 minutes of daily TT Rockstars

Optional weekly outdoor learning activity - this could be based around any subject (approx 30 minutes)

Make sure you also check out our daily assembly and Tom’s Workout Wednesday. These can both be found on the Year Groups page.

Don't forget story time on a Friday. We will have a different member of Year 4 staff sharing a book with you each week

This week, we are also setting you the optional bonus task of making something delicious. This could be a sandwich, a cake, cookies or even breakfast. You may even want to make something that will help someone out at home.  Make sure you snap us a photograph if you decide to complete it. If you are working with us in school, this may be something you can do when you are at home.
