It's a snow day! I am sure you are all keen to continue with home learning, but we really want you to have a chance to enjoy the snow. Why not write a snowflake poem, make a snow angel or draw a picture in the snow. Of course, please submit any work you do manage to complete today in the normal way but make time for lots of fun!  Please send us lots of photos of your snow fun!

This week we are having a bit of a recap of tricky words. 

 

Today I have attached a picture that has lots of clues to help you figure out the tricky word that is hidden. Have a go at 1 or 2 of the pictures.  

 

Mrs Emslie and Mrs Houghton’s group: 

First start by re-capping your phase 5 sounds- ay, ou, ie, ea oy, ir, ue, aw, ph, wh, ew, oe, au, a-e, e-e and i-e.  Ask an adult to call out a sound and write it down as quickly as you can. 

Practise reading the tricky words we have learnt so far.  Write the following words out on some paper: oh, their, said, so, people, looked, some, come, Mr, Mrs, have, like, called, asked, were, there 

Spread them out around the floor.  Play some music.  When the music stops, jump on a sound and shout it out to your adult (similar to musical statues).
